ABOUT SAGAR SAMY

I Help Small Brands Look Like Big Ones

I’m Sagar Samy, a brand strategist, university lecturer, and AI
filmmaker. For the past decade I’ve helped founders, local businesses,
and global brands say the right thing in the right way: on social
media, in campaigns, and on camera.

My work sits where storytelling meets technology. I still believe a
great brand is built the old-fashioned way, by understanding people,
but I use modern tools, including AI video production, to deliver it
faster and more affordably than traditional agencies can.

Chapter 01

It Started With Words

Long before I ran campaigns or directed videos, I was obsessed with a
simple question: why do some messages stick in your head while most
disappear in seconds? That curiosity led me to study Media Sciences at
SZABIST, where I graduated with the University Gold Medal. It sounds
grand, but what it really meant was four years of pulling apart ads,
films, and speeches to understand the mechanics of persuasion.

That foundation never left me. Every content calendar I build and every
video I direct still starts from the same place: who is watching, what
do they care about, and what will make them remember this tomorrow?
Tactics change every year. That question doesn’t.

Quotable: Great brands aren’t built on pretty visuals. They’re built on a clear answer to one question: why should anyone remember you tomorrow?

Chapter 02

The Classroom Keeps Me Honest

I’m a visiting faculty member in Media Sciences at Indus University
and Ilma University, where I lecture undergraduates in advertising,
visual storytelling, and AI workflows. Every year I stand in front of
hundreds of students who will call out anything that sounds like
theory without proof.

Teaching is the best quality control I’ve ever had. If I can’t explain
a strategy simply enough for a nineteen-year-old to use it, I don’t
sell it to a client. And my students keep me current: they spot every
trend months before it reaches boardrooms, which means my clients hear
about what’s next while it’s still useful.

I also lead AI education work through Ailygence, my practical AI learning company,
where we teach founders and teams to use AI tools for real marketing
work instead of just talking about them.

Chapter 03

A Decade of Client Work

In the commercial world, I lead agency operations at AIlyGence and run
international client work through Sagar Samy Ltd in the UK. Over the
years I’ve worked with more than 250 brands, from a pancake restaurant
in Aruba that the whole island loves, to the regional social media of
a global car manufacturer operating inside some of the strictest brand
guidelines in the industry.

The through line is always the same. A founder in New York selling pool
floats and a marketing director in Muscat selling cars both need one
thing: content that makes people stop, feel something, and act. My job
is to figure out what that thing is for each brand, then produce it
relentlessly.

Lately, much of that production runs through AI filmmaking. I direct
and produce AI-assisted video, ads, brand films, short-form content,
that gives small businesses a cinematic look without a film-crew
budget. You can see the results in my portfolio.

Chapter 04

Explore to Evolve

That’s my operating principle, and it’s printed on this website for a
reason. The platforms change, the algorithms change, and audience
attention gets harder to earn every year. The brands that survive are
the ones willing to experiment: new formats, new stories, new tools.

I don’t chase every trend. I test things, keep what works, and drop
what doesn’t, for my clients and for myself. If you work with me,
expect honesty about what’s worth your money and what isn’t. I’d
rather talk you out of a bad idea than bill you for one.

Whether it’s a monthly retainer, a single campaign, or a video project,
the offer is simple: senior-level thinking, personal attention, and
work I’d proudly show my students. Start with a message,
and let’s see if we’re a fit.
