Andhadhun – A film that will amaze you

The film is all about direction and screenplay. No matter how beautifully dialogues been delivered or acting been done. If the above-mentioned things aren’t good then everything will be wasted. A good film should have a start, middle (climax) and the end. We are very well aware of what Bollywood is famous for. Yes, typical love stories, which are actually ruining the South Asian societies and their culture. Well, but now few of the directors are actually breaking this stereotype. As Padman, Badhaai ho, Hichki, Veera Di Wedding, Sui Dhaaga are few of the recent films of 2018 that beautifully broke this stereotype.

Andhadhun

Andhadhun is one of the movies which made me amazed. My friend asked me to make a plan for watching this film into the cinema, just after its trailer launch. I said ok… we will see, let it be released first. Then after the released, our cinema plan couldn’t get successful. But few days back, I was searching for some good Bollywood stuff to watch. Then unexpectedly this film come in front of me. Hmm, I said yes, let’s give it a try.

Movie Review

A film started with these lines,

What is Life?

It all depends on Liver

Andhadhun (5).jpg

And then the film officially kicked off with the person who’s standing in a farm and holding a gun in his hand. He sees a rabbit in his farm and runs behind him to shoot, and the moment he hits the trigger the screen turns black and the story of a pianist starts. Ayushman Khurana plays the role of a pianist named Akaash. He’s a blind artist who wants to go to Europe to pursue his career, so here in Pune, he struggles to save money for his dream.

Andhadhun

The fact about this movie is that if I reveal much; then the entire picture will be cleared because it’s all about the thrill, suspense and the tempo of the movie is so amazing. From beginning to end, there would be hardly a second that I could lose my attention. I was like – what’s next, OMG, unbelievable – were the things that continuously revolving into mind throughout the film.

Andhadhun

The murder of the character Pramod Sinha was the turning point of this film that changed the entire life of the protagonist Akaash. And that was the moment when the director became successful to hook the attention of the audience. From that point to the end, everything was like Aage Kya Hoga. Then, the final scene appeared which made me shocked, because it was the continuous part of the scene that was shown at the beginning of the film, and here this scene completed and the story ended.

Andhadhun

I must say, this was one of the best Bollywood movies in recent times. From cinematography, acting, screenplay, dialogues to the direction. Everything was mind-blowing and worth watching this film. And yes, its IMDB rating is 8.9 which made it second best rated Bollywood film after Sanju in 2018.

In a world of digital media, we have forgotten to connect with nature. We have become so busy in our routine life and have no time to explore, to connect, and to understand the beauty of nature.

MAX

Well, finally we devote some time to come to a step closer to nature. We decided to say goodbye to our gadgets for few hours so we can focus and connect with nature. We joined the program MAX by School of Leadership, which held on sunny Saturday at Turtle beach, Karachi. The program attracted youth aged 20 – 30. So, they can relax from the hectic schedule of their busy lives.

The purpose of the program was to starch life, come out from the comfort zone, capacity building, teamwork, connect to nature, and to live hundred percent.

MAX

The event officially started with the introductory session of Waqar Ali and warm up activities to break invisible bearers. As all were new to each other. So it’s important to know first, so he trainer divided individuals into the group. All the individuals were in teams now.

Once the team were made, it’s time for activities. So, the first activity was “The Great Box”, in this all the team members have to jump into the box. The team that completes it in less time will be the winner. In this game, our team won the third position.  After this, Umair Jaliawala interacted with all the participants and shared his thoughts regarding life, and nature. He also advised the participants to read books, at least for 15 minutes a day.

An exciting underwater journey with PALS

Life without adventure is like biryani without Aaloo (potato). In a world full of digital media users, adventure is something that leads to freedom, excitement, a step closer to nature and unforgettable memories. Pakistan is a country that is blessed with a wide range of beautiful shorelines. And Karachi is the city of beaches and almost every Karachite plan their picnics to explore the beauty of these beaches.

When we talk about beach then the first thing we hear Samundar me Ziada Aage mat Jana (don’t go far in the sea), but still, many youngsters take it as a statement and ignore it without caring about the circumstances. As a result, many people lost their lives in order to save ones’ life.

Recently, we went to the beach with Pakistan Life Saving Foundation (PALS). A nonprofit organization that is working from 2004, for the purpose of saving lives on the beaches of Karachi. With more than 250 lifeguards from the local community, they have saved almost 5000 people till date.

PALS

They told us about many things which we never heard before. Rip current is the biggest enemy of human’s life and because of it chances of drowning increase. As a result, many people lose their lives while trying to save one friend or relative who is drowning because a majority of people does not know how to swim.

Well, our journey started from Sandspit and ended at French beach. As we reached PALS office, sandpit, they briefed about their organization, how they work, tools, equipment and boats among others. They also showed us the demo of saving the life of a drowning person. After having some refreshment, we officially wore our life jackets and moved our way to the main boat which was floating at the centre of the sea. We sit into the motorboat to reach there and once all the members reached, the journey officially started.

As we reached there, people become crazy to the sea the beauty of oceans and the huts that were built at the seaside of French beach. One of the lifeguards asked us to jump into the water. Initially, we were scared but once we realized that it’s Do or Die scene, we jumped into the water with our life jackets. We also saw the underwater marine life with our dive masks. Last but not least, few of us also tried snorkelling which was one of the most adventurous experiences of this journey.

After this, we again sat into the motor boats to enter into the hut where spicy biryani was waiting for us along with mouthwatering chocolate brownie. After having lunch we shared our experience to the team PALS and appreciated their efforts, and yes, clicked the mandatory group photo at the end of this adventurous journey.

PALS

Important things to remember

  • Wear light weighted cloths
  • Don’t go deeper in the sea
  • Avoid rocky area to swim
  • Avoid swimming in the dark
  • Listen to the advice of lifeguards, as they know the beaches better than us
  • Learn to recognize rip currents
  • Never underestimate the power of the sea
  • Obey basic safety tips

A memorial day of Graduate Student

A journey that started from Orientation, come to end on Convocation.

In the 4 years journey of the university, many ups and downs came, which made it a roller coaster ride of life. Remembered the first day in university? That face, looking for a classroom, reaching before time, nervous and excited at the same time, and tension of ragging as well. Hope you do, these are few of the things that almost every student face on the first day of their university.

Giving introduction in front of all class, and thinking what impression I left behind, reminds the very first day of university. A room full of students who were Extrovert, Introverts and Ambivert from different backgrounds. They made perception on the basis of dressing, gestures, postures and way of talking, which later appeared to be false. Well, same things continue happening, until and unless they don’t actually interact with each other.

Selfies are the only thing that starts from the one friend and later convert into a group of friends or a couple. A historic fountain of the university was one of the favourite selfie-spot for most of the students. Interacting with seniors was quite difficult but was also exciting at the same time.

SMIU Convocation 2018

So, that’s how this journey officially accelerated. In the journey of four years, three festivals, national and International trips, Ambassador Program, and many high-profile visits amongst many other happenings took place in the university.

After the completion of two years; time ran so fast. Years changed into months, and months changed into weeks and weeks changed into days. And then, finally, a day come which is called “Convocation Day”.

SMIU Convocation 2018

Tears of happiness, smile on faces, aims in hearts, many dreams, and of course phones in hands for selfies. These all things are directly reflected to the student, who spent 4 years of his/her life to an institute from where he/she is officially graduating now. A big day; not only for students but also for parents, guidance and teachers as well. On this day, students wore a gown and cap with an aim to fly it at the end of the ceremony.

On one side, students were happy to receive their degrees. So, on the flip side, parents were also happy to see their offspring receiving the degree. Almost every student introduced friends, colleagues and teachers to their parents.

Students who were awarded gold and silver medals were the ones who scored the highest and second highest CGPA in their academic journey. They made their parents more proud by being the one from their classes.

SMIU Convocation 2018

All the fights, misunderstandings, disappointments, jealousy and ego came to end, after receiving a degree and everyone wished successful career and better future to each other.

It’s hard to afford DSLR camera for travelling, but having a smartphone with amazing features at least helps you to capture and record the memories. At one side these cameras are expansive. So, on the other hand, you’re not allowed to bring it everywhere. If you love travelling, and crazy for selfies and want to be a good Youtuber and Travelogger, then this device is perfect for you.

OPPO A83 is the device that will not only help you to snap the moments but also will allow you to work as a pro. In a very reasonable price, you can shoot landscapes, panoramas and even record vlogs without taking tension of storage. Let’s talk about its features before sharing my story.

With a 5.7 inch LCD, you can enjoy the gaming experience and full HD videos.  Its 13 MP back camera will allow you to capture things as a professional. It also has an expert mode through which you can manually control everything like shutter speed, ISO and so on. The front camera is 8 MP, means good for great selfies in this price range. As Oppo is famous for its camera and its taglines “Selfie Expert” ultimately shows all.

So there’s no doubt about the camera. The device comes with 64/32/16GB ROM and 4/3/2GB RAM. So, it depends on the individual that which is suitable for him/her according to their need, but the storage can be extended up to 256 GB. Its battery timing is not good but better in this price range. It offers 3180mAh battery which is enough for normal use. While using this phone you won’t face the performance down issue because of its 2.5 GHz octa-core processor. The device also has face unlock feature for better security. Although they could also add fingerprint feature but they didn’t.

I travelled to Tharparker and Balochistan to explore the beauty of both sites. The clicks I captured and the vlogs I shot were only possible because of this device. It also played the role of lucky charm into my life. As my last device got snatched which was also an Oppo’s model A37. Well, both videos are available on YouTube. So you can get some idea about the camera of this phone. That’s all I wanted to say in MeTime.
